Out of the Darkness: Shedding Light on Modern Day Slavery and Human Trafficking

Training Topics:

Presentations on Human Trafficking by attorneys, advocates, and law enforcement professionals. Event is geared toward educating those unaware of human trafficking. Presenters will discuss what human trafficking is, the laws on the topic, and how local organizations and law enforcement are working to assist victims and survivors. CLE credits are anticipated for attorneys, but all are welcome to attend, including students and community members.

Location: United Way Human Services Campus, Rex Reno Conference Room, 2nd floor

COST:  Attendance is free thanks to Iowa Legal Aid and the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy.  Please register by October 18 to receive a certificate.
