This course will take the student beyond the completion of a standardized accident report which is taught in the minimum standards course. This course will teach the student proper procedures for making measurements at traffic accident scenes; scale diagramming; recover and recording physical evidence from vehicles, people, and the environment.
This class is math intensive and should present a challenge to most students as they learn in-depth concepts in the areas of advanced mathematical formulas. Although it is ideal for officers who routinely investigate and specialize in major injury and fatality collision investigations, it is also appropriate for officers who frequently investigate collisions.
Students should bring a Calculator, Pencil and Paper.
