These courses are intended to develop general understanding of the science of inquiry and provide presentation of techniques, skills and limitations of the modern criminal investigation. Consideration includes all aspects of criminal investigation, as a system of thought and action. The course also examines concepts and methods of investigation of specific forms of crime (homicide, rape, robbery, etc). 

At times, the crime scene and interviews are the only means available in solving criminal cases. This course will help organize their work and inform them of the many and various job functions they must perform. Training and experience is the key to the officer and new investigator to be able to work and solve criminal cases.
